The distinguished motifs of Barocco by Versace for Rosenthal is the key to create a remarkable table culture that has the courage to own worlds beyond time and space.
The “Barocco” service displays sumptuously designed patterns from the baroque era in tones of black and gold.
The pattern employs a style element frequently adopted by Versace: The rocaille.
Volutes and acanthus patterns adorn antique temple friezes; a medallion draws the eye to the centre of the plate.
The most prominent colour is gold with its lavish ornaments which stand out against the black background and the dazzling white porcelain.
The collection was Designed by Paul Wunderlich, a German internationally known lithographic and object surrealist artist.
His works are characterised by magic and mysticism and by the use of precious materials such as porcelain.
Wunderlich had been working for Rosenthal since 1978.
